My name is Elaine and I’m an animal lover. I’m the kind of girl that walks into someone’s house and gets excited when I find out a dog or a cat lives there(and will be found making friends with them for the rest of the my visit).

This site is for those people who think of their pets as a part of their family, their best friends, and who cherish every moment they can spend with them. They want to give their pets the best life possible.

About Me

Animals have always been a part of my life.

For a good chunk of my childhood, I lived on a farm with pigs, chickens, rabbits, dogs, cats, hamsters, birds, fish, a pony, and even a pet rooster.

There were always chores to be done but it doesn’t feel like a chore when it’s something you love. Now, my housework chores…that was another story. But I digress.

After a brief couple of years away at college with no pets, I decided that life was better with a furry friend and I had enough of a life without one. So, I rescued a feisty grey tabby kitten that we named Timmins.

When my husband and I bought our first house a few years later, we knew that we wanted to add a dog to our family. We adopted a black Labrador retriever named Piper. Timmins wasn’t a fan but we sure were! He got over it.

Piper and Timmins were our fur kids. We couldn’t imagine life without a sprinkle of fur, a wag and a purr.

When Timmins passed away and we moved out onto a country property, we rescued an orphaned white and orange kitten and named him Hunter.

Then Piper passed away from kidney disease. We still had Hunter(and still do) but we needed a “wag” in our life too.

Just by chance, we adopted Jack, a border collie and lab mix, and Lucy, a yellow Lab, within a few months of each other. Instant besties!

Jack passed away suddenly last December, and now it’s just Lucy and Hunter. They get along famously. No cat and dog struggles. Just sweet friends.

So, here we are, once again with a cat and a dog. Maybe the family will grow. When the timing is right, and the universe speaks, as I’m sure it will, there will always be more love to share.

The Mission

My pets are the most adorable, wonderful creatures. I would do anything to protect them and care for them. If you’re here and decide to stay, it’s because you feel the same about your own.

They are our comfort and joy, our soothing balms, our best friends through all of life’s journeys. Why wouldn’t we want to provide the very best life we can for them?

I would love to share what I’ve learned, what I continue to learn, and pass that along to you to help you make your pets’ lives awesome too.
